monday melbourne roundup

hullo hullo. I have to admit I love the freezing mornings, there's nothing like having a steaming cup of tea in bed before you get into your day.

I've received my final assignment for the term, will begin it next week so as to avoid the ridiculous stressing I do each semester. It's going to be hard of course as Arts Festival really goes crazy for me this week.

Just spent the weekend in Sydney cuddling my wee niece and nephew. I am going to try and do that more often, there is nothing more humbling than feeding a baby or having a 2 year old crawl into cuddles with you.

We had a big family lunch on Monday and I made the tofu ricotta cannelloni and it was a huge success.

I can't even begin to describe how extraordinary this is. It's almost madness inducing - hallucinatory and wild clawing at your mind. Its vaseline, semen, milk, marbled fat, rebel yells and a screeching crow from the third gender.

Highly conceptual and heart breakingly beautiful it's a poetic mirror (figurative and literal) into the curdled arena of gender politics. This is not entertaining, it's assaulting and haunting.

I found myself bawling for seemingly no reason in some parts and laughing hysterically in others. This is one of the most amazing pieces of high art I've seen in this country. 4.5/5

  1. I would loved to have seen Orlando! Insanely jealous. Thanks for a great blog, too :)
